Special Events

We have a few sweet community gatherings throughout the year, including our Spring Plant Sale and Swap, Summer Fair, and student Graduation Celebration. We hope you’ll join us for one or all of these special events, listed below!

Our Community Plant Swap and Sale is back!

Sunday, May 15th, 2022, 10 am – 2 pm

Goddard College, Plainfield (our new location)

**In-person, outdoor event. No rain date, as we have an event tent for cover. Masks not required outside.**

HERBS, VEGGIES & PERENNIALS ARE ALL WELCOME!

We’re utterly delighted to be reintroducing this annual community event. It’s free to attend and swap—bring cash, check or cards to make outright purchases. All proceeds will support expansion and improvements in our greenhouse and gardens this year.

This is a chance to trade starts or divisions from your garden for plants you want instead. You will receive tickets for each plant you bring, and can exchange them for more plants!

Nothing to trade? You can buy plants outright (cash, check or card). We’ll be starting lots of medicinal herbs in our greenhouse from seeds we saved last fall, so you don’t have to bring anything. You can just come to shop.

If you’re participating in the swap, please bring your labeled plants to the VCIH campus at Goddard College between 9 am and 2 pm, May 10th – May 13th or on Sunday, May 15th between 9-10 am, before the swap gets started.

If you have lots of extra starts or divisions that you’d like to donate for us to sell, we’d be delighted to have those, too. Reach out to us at info(a)vtherbcenter.org to arrange drop off.

We can’t wait to gather with you for our first in-person public gathering in our new spot! Happy Spring!
