Policy of Inclusion (Non-Discrimination Policy)
VCIH is a small, diverse community of individuals, bringing a variety of experiences, beliefs and practices to our roles as practitioners, teachers, staff, board members, general members and students. We represent many faiths, economic circumstances, sexual orientations and political leanings, among a myriad of other differences and commonalities. We are, however united in our love for the plants and our belief in their capacity to heal. We feel our diversity makes us strong and enhances our ability to serve our multi-faceted community. We welcome you to join us!
In the spirit of Nature’s diversity, we do not discriminate in accepting students to our school, or clients to our clinic. Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism admits students and clients of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students and clients at the school and community clinic. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sexual orientation, gender identification, religious or spiritual belief, national or ethnic origin, or relationship to any member of VCIH in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship or loan programs, and clinical or other school-administered programs.
“I am so very happy with the tincture I received from VCIH. The very first time I took it I felt relief. Having the inflammation in my stomach subside has been instrumental in my ability to focus on my studies here at Goddard. I feel excited every time I think that in addition to feeling better, I am doing no harm. I find myself wondering, believing even, that this relief gives my body the space it needs to do what it does best—find balance and heal.
“I also want to extend my gratitude to the two students who helped me. They were sensitive, knowledgeable, inquisitive and easy to open up to. I feel that they really heard what I had to say and took into account what I think I know about my body. They made short and long term self care recommendations which was very helpful. I am grateful for what you’ve created in VCIH. Your clinic is a blessing!”
