May 15th: Spring Dig-a-thon & Plant Sale

Posted April 29th, 2021 by Larken Bunce

This popular event is back!

Saturday, May 15th, 2021, 10 am – 2 pm
252 Main Street, Montpelier (VCIH’s former location)

Bring your own pots or bags and digging implements. Most plants $5 each with a few special finds and shrubs priced a little higher.

We’ve still got some lovely plants looking for good homes before we say goodbye to our Montpelier gardens for good. Your purchases will support our new gardens and greenhouse renovation!

Come stock up on perennial herbs and get your gardens ready to explode with medicine this Summer! Spring is a great time to dig and divide, so these plants will be happy to go home with you and settle right in.

Dozens of species available, including apothecary favorites like arnica, yarrow, nettle, skullcap, mugwort, wood betony, comfrey, vervain and motherwort, along with special treats like solomon’s seal, licorice, and goji (updated, full list coming soon–check back!).

As we wrap up our time gardening in Montpelier and focus on building our Plainfield gardens and renovating our greenhouse, we’d love to see plants from our much-loved hillside find new homes and bring years more healing to our community. Funds raised will support our new garden set up and repairs on our new-old greenhouse and drying room!

Come early for the widest selection!
