Plant and Planetary Rhythms

a workshop with Emily Wheeler, Clinical Herbalist
Wednesday, March 19th 6-8 pm
$12/$10 for members; pre-registration required

As humans–earth-bound beings–we are deeply connected to the seasonal rhythms caused by our planet’s relationship to the sun. Culpepper, Steiner, and others have observed that plants also respond to influences from the sun, moon, planets, and stars beyond. In this class, we will explore such celestial cycles and how this awareness can guide one’s approach to planting, tending, and harvesting plants for food and medicine. There will be a strong focus on biodynamic planting for the upcoming seed sowing season.

Emily Wheeler is a graduate of VCIH’s clinical herbalist program and a student of Health Arts and Sciences at Goddard College. She is also a farmer, educator, whole-foods chef, and yoga teacher based in central Vermont. She believes in the wisdom of the natural world and in the hope of future generations. It is her vision to build resilient communities by supporting individuals and families to slow down, breathe deeply, share in the process of bringing wholesome food to the table, and celebrate interconnection.
