This class covers how to make herbal wine, mead, and cider using wild-crafted ingredients and simple, inexpensive equipment. We will start with a discussion of the properties of some herbs commonly used in medicinal brews, and strategies for transforming the herbs you have on hand into tasty alcoholic beverages. This will be followed by a demonstration of the steps of small-scale brewing from start to finish, and samples of completed brews. Expect to leave with recipes and with the confidence and inspiration to start fermenting your own herbal drinks at home.
